Yard and parking: the easiest place to start

The same box and the same rules — on the one surface where getting started is easiest. Video never leaves your site.

Why the yard comes first

In Slovenia, monitoring inside working areas is allowed under ZVOP-2 (the Slovenian Personal Data Protection Act) Art. 78: the standard is “strictly necessary” and it requires consultation with the representative union and the works council. The gate, the dock and a yard closed to general use fall under Art. 77 — the standard is merely “necessary”, and there is no consultation step. That part is not our opinion: it is the difference between two articles of the same act.

One condition decides it, and it is not the fence. Under the Slovenian ZUreP-3 a “public area” is one intended for general use — the statute lists a car park among its examples and says such an area may be privately owned. So a car park open to visitors falls under Art. 80 instead, where private-sector surveillance may only be operated by authorised security personnel. A yard behind a barrier does not. Which one you have is a question we ask before a proposal, not after.

A site in Serbia. These two Slovenian acts do not apply there, and we do not carry their articles over to a Serbian site. For a site in Serbia the compliance pack produces the Serbian sign and employee notice, and what applies to your yard is settled before a proposal.

The consequence is entirely practical. A first installation can start now, and the shop floor follows as phase two — once the buyer already holds the benefit.

What runs on a yard today

  1. An existing yard camera is taken over the LAN, with no new hardware
  2. Zone or line: a person or a vehicle in a forbidden area or direction
  3. Proximity: a pedestrian and a vehicle come within a set distance of each other
  4. The edge sends an event + short evidence; the offline queue holds events if the link drops
  5. An operator confirms or dismisses — no automated sanctions

What we do not promise yet

Outdoors is a different distribution for the model than a hall — night, headlights, rain, objects further away. So we publish no accuracy figure for outdoor scenes until we have measured it on your cameras; we start from daylight scenarios. Dedicated yard rule types — a blocked fire lane, a dock manoeuvre, parking bay occupancy — are in progress and are not promised here.

bays on the right, one person in a hi-vis vest walking down the middle lane.

Hard boundaries

No facial recognition, no emotion inference, no people scoring. Detection is not identity.
